Community Educational Play Center
Community Educational Play Center (Ludoteca del Mar) is a safe, free space that offers support for children and teens (ages 6 to 15) from Punta de Mita communities. Kids under 6 are welcome too, as long as they come with an adult. Here, we use play as a tool for learning, social interaction, and social-emotional growth. Our goal is for every child and teen to find a place where they can explore, create, have fun, and build skills that will help them now and in the future.
Focused playful activities
Once a month we host a special activity with partners, organizations, specialists, and volunteers. These spaces are designed to help develop skills like critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, peaceful conflict resolution, environmental care, and artistic expression.
Healthy meals
Along with our educational activities, we offer healthy breakfasts and lunches every day to all children and teens who attend. We know good nutrition is essential for well-rounded development, so we promote healthy, traditional eating habits as part of our culture of well-being.
Fun Holidays
During the school breaks in Easter and summer, we run our “Fun Holidays” program: two weeks of themed workshops, activities, sports, art, science, and exploration, with the support of volunteers, organizations, partners, and many community members. It’s one of the favorite moments of the year and a really meaningful experience for everyone involved.
Volunteering
Would you like to join us and share your skills, talents, or activities with children and teenagers? We invite you to volunteer at the Ludoteca!
Send us an email at info@fundacionpuntademita.org and tell us how you’d like to help. Together, we can keep creating opportunities for our kids.
